Google Marketing Configuration Guide (GA4, Search Console, YouTube)

Connect Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console (GSC), and YouTube Analytics to Septra. This guide covers Google OAuth authorization and the property selection process to customize which sites and properties your AI agents monitor.

---

1. Overview & Value to Your AI Team

Google Marketing integration combines website traffic, organic search rankings, and video content analytics into a single intelligence feed for your AI team (CMO Agent and Growth Lead).

Once connected, your AI agents will:

  • Monitor website traffic volume, user engagement rates, top landing pages, and conversion events in GA4.
  • Track Google Search rankings, top organic queries, click-through rates, and landing page coverage in Search Console.
  • Analyze YouTube video performance, subscriber growth, and traffic sources.
  • Perform joint query-to-page analysis to spot high-opportunity keywords for organic content strategy.

---

2. Prerequisites Before Connecting

Ensure you have:

  1. Septra Workspace Role: Owner or Admin role in Septra.
  2. Google Account Permissions:
    • Viewer or Editor access to target GA4 Properties.
    • Verified owner or full user access in Google Search Console for your target websites.
    • Channel manager or owner access for your YouTube Channel.

---

  6. Grant read-only access for Google Analytics, Search Console, and YouTube Analytics.
  7. Click Continue to approve permissions.

Phase 2: Post-OAuth Property Configuration (/configure)

Immediately following Google authorization, Septra automatically opens the Google Marketing Property Configuration screen (/intelligence/google-marketing/configure).

  2. Select Target Properties: Check the boxes next to the specific GA4 properties, Search Console domains, and YouTube channels you want your Septra AI team to analyze.
  3. Save Configuration: Click Save & Complete Setup to activate synchronization.

7. Troubleshooting & FAQs

Q: Why isn't my Search Console website listed on the configuration page?

Ensure your Google Account email is listed as an owner or user inside Google Search Console (search.google.com/search-console). If your site uses a Domain Property (e.g., sc-domain:example.com), ensure your Google user has full verification.

Q: Can I connect multiple GA4 properties to one Septra workspace?

Yes! You can select up to 5 GA4 properties and 5 Search Console sites per workspace.

Q: What if I don't have a YouTube channel?

That's totally fine! YouTube Analytics is optional. You can select only your GA4 and Search Console properties and complete setup.
